How it works
A migrated coin (the mama) carries one new coin (the joey) in its pouch. While the joey rides, the mama's fee share buys it on its curve. If the joey migrates in time, it jumps out and pays thanks back. If not, it falls out and owes nothing.
The road, step by step
- A mama opts in. The dev of a migrated pump coin shares part of its creator fee with its Kangaroo pouch, using pump's own fee sharing. Pump freezes that split on the first update, so it is a one-time decision.
- A joey asks for a ride. A new coin launched through Kangaroo offers itself to one mama, with the thank-you share it promises (5-30%). The offer waits 48 hours.
- The mama takes it. Her dev adopts the joey. One joey per pouch.
- Milk. Every lamport the mama earns through Kangaroo (minus a 10% pad cut) becomes milk: small, price-guarded buys of the joey on its curve. Every token bought is burned.
- The jump. If the joey finishes its curve within 7 days, it jumps out. For 30 days it sends its thank-you share of its creator fee home, up to 2x the milk this mama spent on it. Half goes to the mama's dev, half buys the mama on PumpSwap and burns it.
- Or the fall. No migration in time: the joey falls out and owes nothing. Milk not yet spent goes back to the mama's dev.
Where the money comes from
Mama side
Only what the mama's dev chose to share through pump fee sharing: [dev 100-y%, pouch y%], y at least 5%. With an empty pouch, that share goes back to the dev (minus the pad cut). Gifts to a mama also become milk.
Joey side
A coin launched through Kangaroo has Kangaroo as its pump creator. Its creator fee splits as set in the program config, copied at launch; after migration, thanks come first while it pays back. A grown Roo coin can become a mama itself: its pouch share is taken from the dev part.
Make your coin a mama
- Migrated pump coin. Market cap at least 420 SOL, and its pump fee sharing not yet frozen to someone else.
- Pick y. The share of your creator fee that goes to the pouch (at least 5%).
- Sign one transaction. Fee sharing create + update + registration, together: if registration fails, nothing changes. The update is permanent on pump's side.
- Take a joey. Open your mama page and adopt one that is waiting for you.
Grown Roo coins register with one click on their coin page: y between the minimum and 50%, changeable later only with an empty pouch.

Trust points
- No keeper key, no attestor, no guardian. Every keeper action is a public button anyone can press, here on the site too.
- The admin can pause new coins, mamas, offers, adoptions and gifts; change future params behind a 24 h timelock; set $ROO once; hand over admin or treasury in two steps. The admin can never move SOL or tokens.
- Booked shares are paid only to their owner. Milk and thanks buys are price-guarded (median of fresh observations, slippage cap, depth cap, one buy per slot) and burn what they buy.
- The mama's dev decides to adopt or release; the joey's dev decides to offer or leave (only before the first milk). Neither controls amounts.

Risks
- Pump can reset a coin's fee sharing (its CTO tool): that mama's income through Kangaroo stops; what was booked keeps working.
- Thanks apply to fees collected while paying back. The keeper collects regularly; anyone can press collect.
- Milk is small unless the mama trades a lot. Gifts top it up.
- Pump and PumpSwap are upgradeable programs Kangaroo does not control.
